The Annual Red Cloud Indian Art Show at
The Heritage Center Has Continuity of Surprise
and Excellence.

Forty-one years ago when Father Ted Zuern, S.J. and Bob Savage of Omaha had the idea to hold a small art show at the Red Cloud School, one wonders if they had any idea what they were letting loose in the world.  From a modest beginning in 1968, the annual Red Cloud Indian Art Show has grown to be one of the most important incubators in the nation for fledgling and emerging artists, as well as a reliable support base for some of the finest artists in the Northern Plains region.  

Through it, The Heritage Center at Red Cloud School has accumulated an art collection that is the envy of many museums.  It also defined the career and was the life’s work of Brother Simon, S.J. one of one of Red Cloud’s most beloved and unforgettable characters.
